A long, long time ago, there was nothing but darkness. Can you imagine that? No sun, no moon, no stars, no trees, no animals, not even you or me! But God had a wonderful plan.

God spoke with a powerful voice, “Let there be light!” And suddenly, a brilliant light filled the darkness. It was so beautiful! God called the light “Day” and the darkness “Night.”

On the second day, God made a big, blue dome to separate the water above from the water below. This dome became the sky we see every day, with its fluffy clouds and colorful rainbows.

Next, God gathered all the water into one place, forming the oceans and seas. The dry land appeared, and God called it “Earth.” But God wasn’t done yet. He covered the Earth with all sorts of green plants, from tall trees to tiny flowers.

On the fourth day, God hung the sun in the sky to give us warmth and light during the day. He also placed the moon in the sky to shine at night, along with countless twinkling stars.

“Let the waters be filled with living creatures!” God declared. And just like that, all sorts of fish, whales, and dolphins appeared in the sea. Birds of every color filled the sky, singing their sweet songs.

On the sixth day, God filled the Earth with every kind of animal you can imagine: lions, elephants, monkeys, giraffes, and so many more! But the most special creation of all was humans. God made the first man, Adam, and the first women Eva.  He loved them very much and gave them the beautiful Garden of Eden to live in.

After six days of creating, God decided to rest. He looked at everything He had made and saw that it was good. Very good!

God created everything with love and care. We should appreciate the beautiful world He has given us and take care of it.

The Bible tells us that God created the world in seven days, starting with light and ending with humans. He made everything beautiful and good. This story reminds us of God’s amazing power and love.

Noah was a righteous man who lived in a time when the earth was filled with wickedness and violence. Despite the darkness that surrounded him, Noah remained faithful to God and continued to live a life of virtue and integrity. 

One day, God spoke to Noah and told him that he had grown tired of the evil that had overtaken the earth. He told Noah that he had decided to send a flood to destroy all living things on the earth, but that he had chosen Noah and his family to be saved.God instructed Noah to build an ark, a large boat, that would be able to hold himself, his family, and two of every kind of animal that existed on the earth. Noah was to build the ark using gopher wood and to make it 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. The ark was to have three decks and a door in the side.Noah did not question God’s instructions but instead began to build the ark, as he had been commanded. It was a massive undertaking, but Noah worked tirelessly, day and night, to complete the task. As he built the ark, the people around him mocked him and called him a madman, but Noah remained steadfast in his faith.

After many years of hard work, the ark was finally completed, and Noah and his family began to gather the animals. They searched the earth for two of every kind of animal, both male and female, and brought them onto the ark.The animals came from all over the world, and it was a great task to gather them. Noah and his family worked tirelessly to care for them and to make sure that they were comfortable during their journey.Finally, the day came when the rains began to fall. It started slowly, but soon the skies opened up, and the rain came down in torrents. The earth shook as the waters rose, and the ark began to float.For forty days and forty nights, the rain poured down, and the ark was tossed about on the waves. Noah and his family, along with the animals, were safe inside, but it was a terrifying experience.As the days passed, the waters continued to rise, until they covered even the highest mountains. Everything on the earth was destroyed, and only the ark remained afloat. Finally, after many months, the rains stopped, and the waters began to recede. Noah sent out a raven, and then a dove, to see if there was any dry land. The dove eventually returned with an olive branch in its beak, a sign that the waters had begun to recede.Noah waited patiently for the waters to recede completely, and finally, the ark came to rest on the top of a mountain. Noah and his family, along with the animals, stepped out of the ark and onto the dry ground.Noah was filled with gratitude to God for saving him and his family, and he built an altar and offered a sacrifice to God. God was pleased with Noah’s offering, and he made a covenant with him, promising never to destroy the earth with a flood again.As a sign of his covenant, God set a rainbow in the sky, and Noah knew that he and his family would be safe from harm. The animals were released from the ark, and they went forth and multiplied, filling the earth with life once again.Noah lived to be 950 years old, and he remained faithful to God for his entire life. As they walked together, Isaac spoke up and asked, “Father, behold the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”

Abraham replied, “My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.” So they continued on their way together.

When they reached the top of the mountain, Abraham built an altar and arranged the wood on it. He then bound Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

But just as Abraham was about to strike, an angel of the Lord called out from heaven, “Abraham, Abraham!”

Abraham answered, “Here I am.”

The angel said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. He went over and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son.

The angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from heaven and said, “By myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of their enemies, and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.”

Abraham and Isaac returned to the servants and traveled back home together.

But as David’s fame grew, so did his enemies. King Saul became jealous of David’s popularity and began to fear that David would try to take his throne.

Finally, after years of hiding and fighting, David was able to defeat Saul’s army and become the king of Israel. He ruled with wisdom and justice and was beloved by his people.

King Solomon: A long time ago, in the land of Israel, there was a great king named David. He loved God with all his heart and ruled wisely for many years. But as King David grew old, he knew it was time for someone else to take his place as king. So, he chose his son, Solomon, to be the next king of Israel.

Before David passed away, he gave Solomon some very important advice. He said, “Always follow God’s ways and obey His commands. If you do this, you will be a good and wise king.” Solomon listened carefully to his father’s words because he wanted to be the best king he could be.

One night, after Solomon became king, something amazing happened! He traveled to a place called Gibeon to worship God and offer sacrifices. That night, while Solomon was sleeping, God appeared to him in a dream. Imagine that! God spoke directly to Solomon and said, “Ask for anything you want, and I will give it to you.”

What would you ask for if God said that to you? Maybe toys? Candy? A big house? Solomon could have asked for anything—riches, power, or even a long life—but instead, he thought about what would help him be a good king.

Solomon prayed in his dream and said: “Lord my God, You made me king after my father David. But I am still young and don’t know how to rule well. There are so many people in this kingdom! Please give me wisdom so I can tell right from wrong and lead Your people fairly.”

God was very pleased with Solomon’s request. He said: “Because you didn’t ask for riches or a long life or the defeat of your enemies but instead asked for wisdom to help others—I will give you what you asked for! I will make you wiser than anyone who has ever lived or ever will live. And because your heart is so good, I will also give you riches and honor like no other king!”

When Solomon woke up from his dream, he realized it wasn’t just any dream—it was real! God had truly blessed him with wisdom.

Not long after this special dream, King Solomon’s wisdom was put to the test. Two women came before him with a big problem. Both women lived in the same house and had baby boys around the same time. But one night, one of the babies sadly died. The mother of the baby who had died took the other woman’s baby while she was sleeping and claimed it as her own!

Now both women stood before King Solomon arguing over who the living baby belonged to.

“It’s my baby!” cried one woman.

“No! The baby is mine!” shouted the other.

How could King Solomon figure out who was telling the truth? There were no witnesses or evidence—just two mothers claiming the same child.

But remember—God had given Solomon great wisdom! He thought carefully about how to solve this problem.

King Solomon called for one of his servants and said something shocking: “Bring me a sword! Cut the baby in half so each woman can have part of him.”

The court gasped in surprise! What kind of solution was this?

But then something incredible happened. One of the women cried out in horror: “No! Don’t hurt the baby! Give him to her instead—just let him live!”

The other woman crossed her arms and said coldly: “Go ahead; cut him in half.”

At that moment, King Solomon knew exactly who the real mother was—the one who wanted to save her child at all costs! A true mother would never let harm come to her baby.

“Do not harm the child,” Solomon declared. He pointed at the first woman and said: “She is the true mother—give her back her baby!”

Everyone in Israel heard about this wise decision and marveled at how God had blessed their king with such incredible wisdom.

From that day on, people came from faraway lands just to hear King Solomon’s wise words and judgments. He wrote many proverbs (wise sayings) that we can still read today in the Bible’s Book of Proverbs.

Solomon teaches us an important lesson: Wisdom is more valuable than riches or power because it helps us make good choices that honor God and help others.

If we ever feel unsure about what decision to make or need guidance in life, we can pray like Solomon did. The Bible says in James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God….” Just like He helped King Solomon long ago, God loves giving us wisdom when we ask Him!

Solomon didn’t ask for selfish things like money or fame; instead, he asked for something that would help others—wisdom! This made God very happy because it showed that Solomon cared about doing what was right more than anything else.

So remember: When faced with tough choices or challenges in life, always turn to God for help—and use your gifts not just for yourself but also for helping others!
